Net Drop Earrings
A net defines boundaries, while water flows through. Limitation and flow exist in opposition, yet complete each other. The oval shapes of the droplets extend fluidly, symbolizing the harmony of opposites, with the net serving as a balanced boundary that both contains and releases.
Rhombus units are continuously aligned and deconstructed to form an airy net. Using traditional metal wire weaving techniques, fine metal lines are meticulously positioned point by point, repeatedly bent and interlaced. Each intersection is securely fixed to ensure structural stability, while the net naturally follows the water droplet's contour, creating a sense of flowing movement.
Inspired by Singapore Changi Airport's Jewel Rain Vortex, water cascades from above, flowing through a dome woven from countless mirrored rhombus sequences.
